When I moved to South Florida I had met this Haitian woman who I worked with and she really touched my spirit. Maybe it's because I was raised by black women, or the fact we had such a strong bond but couldn't even really communicate. She inspired this piece that I feel so passionate about. I've grown fond of all the Haitians I've met, I love the people. If you ever have extra clothes you no longer want, feel free to contact me and mail them to me. I donate clothes to the Haitian Church every couple months.
